MSC Sinfonia is a stylish mid-sized cruise ship and the fourth and final vessel in MSC Cruises' Lirica Class, alongside sister ships MSC Lirica, MSC Opera and MSC Armonia. Originally built for Festival Cruises as MS European Stars, she was launched on 4 March 2001, entered service in April 2002, and was acquired by MSC Cruises following Festival Cruises' bankruptcy in 2004, subsequently being renamed MSC Sinfonia.
Following a major Renaissance Programme refurbishment in 2015, the ship was lengthened to 274.9 metres (902 ft) and increased to 65,542 gross tons. MSC Sinfonia features 13 decks (9 passenger-accessible), accommodates up to 2,646 passengers, and is served by approximately 721 crew members. Guests can enjoy 2 swimming pools, 9 bars and lounges, and up to 5 dining venues, alongside family-friendly attractions including the Doremi Spray Park and MSC Aurea Spa.
Unique selling points include her intimate size, elegant Italian styling, excellent Mediterranean itineraries, and fascinating history as the former European Stars, the final ship built for Festival Cruises before joining the MSC fleet. A further refurbishment was completed in 2024, ensuring refreshed public spaces and modern amenities for today's cruise guests.
